Travel camera by A. Aivas, late 19th century – early 20th century
Travel camera 13 x 18, made of walnut wood with brass fittings, handle, knobs and lens. On the front of the camera there is a metal badge with the name and address of the manufacturer (“COMPTOIR FRANCAIS DE PHOTOGRAPHIE / A.AIVAS / 39, Rue Vivienne, PARIS”). On the bottom of the lens, the manufacturer’s name and camera number (“Comptoir français de photographie / No. 224”). Very good condition, small defects in the wood around the metal screws on the front of the camera and inside.
