Vienna bronzes are often small figures, usually made of bronze, produced in Vienna from the mid-nineteenth century – they gained immense popularity all over Europe at that time. They are known for their excellent quality of workmanship – sophisticated shapes, interesting, often funny ideas, and in the case of colored browns, perfectly preserved, vivid colors. They are nowadays sought-after collectors’ items.
