Józef Sadzik (born February 16, 1933 in Sułkowice near Krakow – died August 26, 1980 in Osny near Paris), founder of the publishing house Éditions du Dialogue in the French capital, publishing books in Polish. Art and culture animator. He was friends with many writers and artists in exile, such as Czesław Milosz, Józef Czapski, Zygmunt Hertz and Jan Lebenstein. Creator of a lecture and discussion center for Poles from the country and emigration under the name of the Dialogue Center, where people of very different worldviews were hosted and discussed. The achievements and spiritual legacy of Fr. Józef Sadzik, has been dealing with Fr. Marek Wittbrot – propagator of the thoughts of the founder of the Center for Dialogue and editor of the Internet magazine “Recogito”. The book of poetry published in the “Recogito” collection series aims to save from oblivion a priest of Polish culture, a poet, a philosopher, and at the same time a modest man.
