KOLINSKI Rafal

Born in Sieradz (Poland) in 1978. For several years he lived in Lodz, nowadays he lives in Warsaw. In 2007 Kolinski graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz (Department of Textile and Styling). He practices painting, drawing, graphic design, textile art and photography.
He creates every day and has being doing so for the last twenty years. He is intrigued by both human imperfection, present in all aspects of life as well, and by the will and struggle to oppose it. In his art, on paper, canvas and in his textile installations, he speaks of himself and of the other, of our relations and of the struggle with the nature of things, just as imperfect. He exposes the inconsistencies and the cracks on the surface off reality and he shows their impact on his own soul.
